About the pattern
Greystone is a long, double-breasted coat made with traditional canvassing: six-button fastening, broad lapels with a two-part collar that can be turned up, flapped patch pockets, vertical welt pockets and turn-back cuffs. The back has an inverted pleat between the shoulders, a skirt with deep pleats and a half belt across the waist seam, and the coat is fully lined with two inside pockets. It is drafted for coating-weight wool.
The pattern covers men's EU 44 to 58 and falls to mid-calf, with room for a jacket or a thick knit underneath. It is a long project with a lot of hand work, best suited to sewers who have tailored a jacket before.
