About the pattern
Lacewing is a close-fitting top shaped entirely by princess seams at the front and back, with no darts. The centre front closes with eyelets and lacing; the top is fully lined, the lacing edges are stiffened with interfacing and flexible boning, and the neckline, armholes and lower edge are finished with bias binding. It is drafted for woven fabrics with little or no stretch and some body.
The pattern comes in women's EU 34 to 52 and ends at the natural waist. The fit is snug through the bust and waist, and the lacing gives only a little adjustment, so a quick toile is worth the time.
